Are you an English School?We are not affiliated with any traditional English learning institutions. We call ourselves “coaches” as well as teachers because we believe that English education is more than teaching with the goal of passing exams. Our services are built to encourage a well-rounded approach to learning English in six main domains: Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing, Conversation and Cultural exchange. We are able to cater to any learner, from any background, at any level and of any mother language in an inclusive and encouraging manner. Our coaches will meet you where you are and come up with a plan to meet your goals. This process should be as fun as it is results-based, so we will teach to the individual and not in a “one size fits all” manner.

What courses are available?Currently, we offer two main packages. Our Free Talk program is an informal way to practice your conversational skills with a Native English Speaker. Our Comprehensive English program is for establishing and building upon foundational English educational skills. In this program, you will learn reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar with a fun and encouraging Coach.

How did we come up with the prices?At CCC we value quality as well as fairness. We have extensively researched the market and have set our prices at a fair market-value that meets our expertise and offerings. We are more than just a person with a Zoom account, we are a fully-functional business that is run by two enthusiastic coaches. We are investing a lot of time, energy and money into producing a product that we are proud of and that our customers will love. As our company grows, we will be offering our customers more coaches and courses that bring even more value to our community. We hope that there is something for everyone here at CCC.

What payment methods are accepted?Our website accepts both credit card and paypal payments. We understand that each country has different preferred payment platforms, but those are unavailable to us as foreigners at this time. If paypal or credit card payments are not an option, we can discuss bank transfers or the use of other internet banks such as transferwise on a case by case basis.

How do I schedule a class?To begin taking lessons with us, the first step is to contact us through this website. A teacher will respond to you as soon as possible to discuss your preferred coach, scheduling and invoicing. After this, you could begin your lessons as soon as you would like.

What video platform do we utilize?All of our classes will take place on ClassIn. This platform is the most user-friendly and efficient of the ones we have tested.

Is this company only for Chinese students?No. We are a global community. We value collective cultural exchange and are excited to offer our services to anyone who is looking to learn or improve their English skills.

Are these courses for children or adults?Both! We love teaching a range of ages and abilities. We will tailor our courses to be age appropriate if needed. We would even love to teach some of the parents of our lovely little students if they would like to learn as well. At CCC we are inclusive of anybody, any background and any age. We celebrate diversity of every kind. Message us and we will find something suitable for you.

I have or my child has special needs, can these be accommodated?"Absolutely! Please make the teachers aware of any special needs or disabilities. We are lucky to have on staff a teacher who has worked extensively with neuro-diverse children and adults. We can recommend a specialized learning plan for anyone with special needs.

Will homework be assigned?We may occasionally assign homework. We also believe that any exposure to the English language throughout your daily routine is an excellent way to increase your vocabulary, fluency and listening skills. Some fun ways to enjoy English exposure can be through reading English books, listening to English songs and watching age-appropriate English videos/TV.

Will there be feedback on the student’s progress?We will provide a short feedback to the student/parents after the first class, half-way through the course and after the final class of the course. So if the course is 8 weeks long, you should expect a feedback after classes 1, 4 and 8. If at any point you would like to discuss specific concerns or to share with the teachers some exciting progress, we would love to hear from you by email.

Will there be exams or presentations?We will not be giving formal examinations in our courses.

Will we have time off for holidays and vacations?As CCC is a global company, we want to acknowledge and celebrate important days in both your culture and ours. We also believe that travel and rest is important to keep your mind and body healthy. Any time off from a scheduled class should follow these guidelines: Bank Holidays: If you would like to have a class canceled on a bank holiday, please let the teacher know with as much advance notice as possible and at least 2 weeks prior to this class. This includes days like Chinese New Year, Labor Day, etc. These days will be counted as a “postponed” class. You can request these days off by email. Personal Holidays or Travel: If you would like to take some time off for personal holidays, please let the teacher know as soon as possible and at least 2 weeks prior to your scheduled class. These days will be counted as a “postponed” class. You can request these days off by email. These will be treated as “Advance notice time off”.

What about Short Notice Cancelations?We understand that sometimes things happen that interrupt our schedule. We ask that in any situation within your control, you let your teacher know with as much notice as possible. For all last minute cancelations, please notify your teacher directly by instant message through WeChat or Facebook messenger. The following rules apply: If you cancel 25 hours or more before a scheduled class, the class will be considered “postponed”. If you cancel 24 hours or less before a scheduled class, the class will be considered “canceled” and will not be rescheduled. Your course will resume at the next scheduled time. In the case of an emergency, cancelations and penalties will be considered on a case by case basis. If a student frequently cancels classes with short notice, further actions or penalties will be discussed with the student or parent.

Will teacher's take time off?At the beginning of a course, your teacher will announce any planned holiday or personal time which will impact the course schedule. In the event that important things come up, the teachers will give the students as much notice as possible and a minimum of 5 days notice. In the rare event of an emergency, we will be in contact to discuss a solution and make-up date.

What happens if the student or teacher is late?Students should try to be on time as much as possible so as to not interrupt their learning progress. Teachers will always strive to be early or on time, but there are times when IT/Internet issues can cause a delay. If ever there is a situation in which the teacher is running late, the teacher will do their best to contact the parent/student to give them a status update. If a teacher is more than 4 minutes late, the class will be considered canceled as a “teacher no show” and an explanation will be offered to the parents or students. Please wait 4 minutes as there are occasional IT issues that may prevent us from accessing the classroom. If we are running late or trying to get into the classroom, we will inform the parent/student and let you know that we are on our way and we will compensate the time at the end of class. We value professionalism, so lateness should be a very rare event.

How can I talk to my teacher?You are always welcome to reach out to our teachers by email. In the email, please specify the teacher’s name and the student’s name. We will do our best to respond to all emails in a timely fashion. If it is an emergency or if you need to cancel a class with short notice, you are welcome to reach out to the teacher by WeChat or Facebook. Please understand that our teachers may live in a variety of time-zones, so we ask that you have patience when waiting for a response.
